UNC Family Medicine Virtual Job Shadow Opportunity: Application Deadline June 1, 2020
The UNC Department of Family Medicine will be offering a VIRTUAL summer academy this year to students slated to graduate this spring. Graduating SENIORS only.
Note, when you review the flyer, it states for students from rural counties. Disregard that. Any seniors who apply regardless of their geographic location in the state will be considered.
Interested students must be 18-20 years old by the first day of the selected FMSA date. Dates available are Session 1 – July 13-14th, 2020 and Session 2 – July 15th-16th, 2020 We will plan to host a 2 hour virtual session each day. (4 hours total per session) Participation is FREE for accepted students. However, students must apply by the June 1st deadline. Click link below to access the application. Junior Volunteers at Wake Med (Summer)
The goal of this program is to provide hands-on volunteer experience that meets the current needs of the hospital. Must be 16 years old. American Legion Student Trooper Program
Juniors and seniors (male & female students) may apply to the Student Trooper Program.
Date: Summer 2020
Where: NC Highway Patrol Training Center in Raleigh
Each applicant must be sponsored by an American Legion Post. Call 919-832-7506 if you need help in finding a sponsoring post. Students will participate in a wide variety of instructional sessions. The purpose is to "create an association between our young people and the folks responsible for enforcing the laws of our State." Application and additional details in the career center.
